No, if you look well the google.fr/nexus page only presents gnexus specs, but when you click on "buy now" you are redirected to third-party resellers (online shops, providers etc.)

I don't think that's the reason. Most tech products get a 1 dollar for 1 euro rate when they come to Europe. Importing is not cheaper because of shipping so we get screwed anyway.

I think 200€ is still a good price for the Nexus 7, and the good think about the EU is that the other countries can get the tablet relatively easy.

You may not forget that the 199€ is including taxes, its the price we get, in germany, around 33€ taxes are included.
